General, Roleplaying, & Grammar
- Respect/No Flaming Players.
Be mature and responsible on the boards. If you have a problem with someone, talk to an admin, take it to the GZ Court, or take it off the boards. Never start flame wars. Respect the other players and authorities around the site.
- GZ Court
The GZ Court is a forum on the RPG board that hosts many important aspects of the website. Canon and Special Character Applications, GZer Rewards, RP Ratings and Critique, and the Strike System are all located here. Please visit the GZ Court for more information.
- Avatars and Signature Limits
Avatars may not exceed 100x150 pixels, and their content must abide by RPG rules and Invisionfree's TOS. Signatures must fit within 700x250 pixels and follow RPG rules and Invisionfree's TOS. It is helpful to have links to characters and base records in your signature, but it is not required.
- GZ Roleplay Style
All roleplaying on Generation Zi is written in third person, past tense. Shorthand typing is unacceptable, and any symbols (-, +, *) are not necessary. Action is written with normal text, and speech is made within quotations ("speech"). Human thought is italicized within quotations ("Thought"). Organoid speech and Zoid speech, which is usually a form of telepathy, is written in italics. (Speech)
- Spelling
Not everyone excels in spelling, but we ask that you make an effort to spell correctly. Spell checks are useful. The latest versions of Mozilla Firefox have a built in spell check. Please use these to your advantage.
- No "Powerplaying"
Powerplaying is controlling another player's character, their reactions, or their responses. Such behavior is prohibited and punishable via GZ Court strike system.
- No "Godmodding"
Avoiding most or all hits during a fight, roleplaying characters as invincible, or being a general "Mary Sue" is godmodding. Such behavior is prohibited and punishable via GZ Court strike system.
- Post length
We ask that your roleplay posts be at least one large paragraph. Two or more are preferred. When in a roleplay, try to mirror what the other players are posting. If your posts are considerably short without a good reason, we will ask you to take more time and write longer posts, and take disciplinary actions if tips and directions are ignored.
- Excessive Profanity
Refrain from excessive profanity, primarily in the OOC boards.
- RP Content
Roleplays that have exceedingly graphic or mature content should contain warnings in the first post. Content should abide by Invisionfree TOS. Pornographic content is prohibited.
