Characters, Zoids, & Organoids

Characters

- Allowed Races
Characters may either be humans, Ancient Zoidians, or a cross between. These are referred to as "half breeds". No exceptions.

-- Applying for Special Characters
The term "special character" refers to a character with unique attributes such as genetic enhancements, physical abnormalities, extensive mechanical limbs, ect. Zoids falls into the sci-fi genre, thus we allow these quirks on a limited level. There are level 1 and level 2 specials. The severity of the traits determine which category the character falls under. A player may have a limited amount of these characters, and these are applied for in the GZ Court. (More Information?)

-- Applying for Canon Characters
The term "canon" is another word for "official." These canon characters are found in the Zoids anime. If you would like to roleplay as one on the forums, you must first check to see if the desired character is available, and then read the directions and apply for them in the GZ Court. (More Information?)

- Zoidian Powers
Ancient Zoidians are a highly evolved and advanced race of Zoid. They look like any other human, but often possess a special connection with Zoids and Organoids. It is not uncommon for them to have a special ability (usually mental). This is not to be confused with "Special Characters." When you create an Ancient Zoidian character, you may come up with a reasonable ability for them. Common choices are usually telepathy or limited telekinesis. Abilities are also allowed for half breeds.

- Character Limits
There is no limit to how many human or half breed characters you may have. However, you may have no more than five Ancient Zoidian character.

- Character Directory Records
All characters must have a topic in the Character Directory that links to their profile.

Organoids

- How to Buy
Organoids are custom made by players via the Organoid Shop. Once the specs are completed, post them on the shop forum and wait for Koneko to give you a price quote. Once the organoid is verified for use on the site, you may buy it in the Order Forum.

- Weapons and Abilities
Upon creation, the player can use the lists provided in the shop for weapons and abilities, or entirely make up their own. These must be reasonable and are subject to approval. Also make sure that your original weapons and abilities don't fall under anything on The Banned List. (More information?)

- Stats
An organoid's primary purpose is to fuse to a Zoid in battle to enhance its capabilities. There are five attributes they can enhance: speed, energy, offense, defense, and armor. The organoid's base comes with all of these at 50%. For example, if an organoid with these stats fused with a Shield Liger, the Liger's top speed would go from 250 KPH to 375 KPH. Similarly, the armor would become +50% more durable, and the Zoid's energy increases by 50%. It becomes 50% more evasive, and 50% more physically strong. You may shuffle the existing increase stats around and add up to 150% more throughout the brackets for a price. (More information?)

- Fuse Time Limits
In an official battle, organoids can only fuse once, and this fusion lasts around one minute. This may be lengthened via an "Extended Fuse Time" ability available in the Organoid Shop. This would allow up to three minutes.

- Organoid Character Directory Entry
All organoid characters must have a topic in the Character Directory that links to their profile in the roleplayer's base.

Zoids

- Obtaining Zoids
When you join the RPG, your first Zoid is free. Each time you create a new character, they get a free starter Zoid. This can be done up to five times only. After that you must purchase Zoids from the RPG Shop.

-- Upgrading
To buy an upgraded Zoid, you must first have the basic version, and then purchase an upgrade permission from the Zoid Upgrade Permission Shop. For example, in order to have a Leo Striker, you must first buy a Leo Blaze, and then the Leo Striker upgrade permission.

-- Evolving
In order to obtain an evolved Zoid, you must have two things: an evolution permission, and an organoid to evolve your Zoid. You may ask a friend to use their organoid to evolve the Zoid. This can take anywhere from a day to a week (In RP time, not actual calendar days) to perform. For example, to obtain a Blade Liger, you must first buy a Shield Liger. Then you buy the Blade Liger evolution permission, and actually roleplay the process of evolving the Zoid.

-- Fuzors
No permission is required for a Fuzor. You simply must have both Zoids required for the fusion. For example, to create a Wing Wolf, you need a Konig Wolf and a Fire Phoenix. When not in battle, Fuzors can stay fused for an indefinite amount of time. How long they stay together when the Combat System is initialized depends on how much damage the Zoid has taken and how much energy they have left.

-- Weapons
Additional weapons and support equipment may be purchased through the Optional Equipment and Weapons Shop. Check to make sure that the weapon you are buying can be mounted on your Zoid before you purchase it.

-- Customs
We no longer allow custom Zoids on Generation Zi. You may add the weapons from the shop, or color your Zoid however you please though.

- NPCs
A "non player character" is usually a character used in an RP to make things more interesting. They are usually civilians, soldiers, wild Zoids, ect. Occasionally there are more in depth characters, used in more than one RP. These are usually villains used in a plotted arc. NPCs are always allowed, but there's a few guidelines. Also, you generally don't keep advanced NPC profiles in your base.

-- Humanoid
These may be human, half breeds, or Ancient Zoidians. If there are any special attributes, keep them in the range of a level 2. While not required, you may keep a profile for more long-term NPCs in the NPC Character Directory.

-- Zoids
These may be sleeper Zoids, wild Zoids, or Zoids belonging to another NPC. You do not have to pay to give these to a NPC, and you may use an evolved, upgraded, or Fuzor Zoid without roleplaying the process of obtaining them. If a long-term NPC has a specific Zoid, you may add it to their profile in the NPC Character Directory. Otherwise, there is no directory for NPC Zoids.

-- Organoids
The circumstances for using a NPC Organoid are generally the same as NPC Zoids. However, if you are using a NPC Organoid in a plot, it must have a profile in the NPC Organoid Directory. We do not require them to have completed stats, but it is encouraged.
